This term, our language students of Years 9 and 10 celebrated their engagement with the language that they learn at 秘色传媒 College by sharing their favourite word.
In Mandarin, French and Italian, students were given the chance to express themselves and illustrate their penchant for a word of their choice.
All students chose words for a variety of reasons: some chose a word because it sounded funny, others chose one that reminded them of a pleasant experience, while others selected a word that has a special meaning to them.
It was a fantastic opportunity for them to realise that while languages can be shared by millions of people, words can have very personal and intimate meanings.
